Delivery to Seeds of Hope pantry.
Mission

We are a ministry that focuses on food insecurity. We help supply a local food pantry (feed 300+ families) every month. Periodically, we prepare cooked meals for a local large meal delivery program, conduct an annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive every year, organize an annual "Angel Tree" campaign to distribute its donated gifts to local needy children and families during the holiday season, and coordinate a collection of meats every Lenten season.

Participation

There are numerous ways to get involved! Whether you're interested in delivering to the pantry, preparing meals, or identifying community needs, we welcome your volunteer hands. Contact any of Mathew 25's ministry members to learn more about how you can contribute to this essential humanitarian effort.  Check our Weekly Bulletin and Community Calendar for current and upcoming projects.

September 2024 Update

Matthew 25 welcomes you into September! The temperatures are so crisp it's beginning to feel like fall. Change is surprisingly welcoming as school starts and football season begins. For a few days, we want to pull out our sweaters.

We received an urgent SOS from Seeds of Hope asking for our help providing them with eggs. We are deeply grateful for the donations that enabled us to purchase dozens of eggs. We prioritize this mission, no matter how small it may seem, to deliver eggs to Seeds of Hope before they open to shoppers tomorrow. This is our commitment to providing what we can to our neighbors.

We also continue to support Somerton Interfaith Food Bank. In July and August, we delivered much-needed food to the pantry and made a monetary donation. As always, they are thrilled with our help.

It’s a bit early to think of turkeys, but in a few weeks, we’ll be on our way to asking our parish for donations to help feed families and individuals throughout the area for Thanksgiving. Please look for future bulletins in late September/early October. Sunday School will work hard alongside M25 to collect the baking goods for our drive. We thank our Catechism School Director, Jacinda, for the support. Charity begins at home and in church. This collaboration is valuable in bringing awareness to even our youngest parishioners and helping us conquer suburban hunger.

Please continue to support us on Vanco or by check. We need you more than ever, as there is no relief in sight due to highly inflated grocery prices.

We look forward to a productive year of supplying our pantries with staples needed to fill hungry bellies. We wish all of you a very spiritually fruitful year. We invite and welcome your help.
