Young-at-Heart (65+) Ministry
CURRENT AND UPCOMING YOUNG AT HEART EVENTS
What a beautiful start to the Christmas season!
Our Young at Heart Christmas luncheon, held on December 6th following Divine Liturgy, was a wonderful success and was well attended. It’s heartwarming to see this annual event growing in popularity each year! A big thank you to all our members who joined us, especially those who brought a friend to share the joy of lunch and fellowship.
We are deeply grateful to Olga Econome, Kiki Malitas, Theodora Mikroulis, Rubena Papakirk, and Vaso Trifonidis for their hard work in preparing the meal. We also thank Harvest Produce and the Bougioukas family for their generous contribution to the meal.
A special shout-out to our talented bakers who provided delicious bread and Lenten pastries, complementing the meal beautifully.
We also appreciate Vasilis Karras and George Dalagelis’ ongoing support and heartfelt thanks to all the friends who helped serve and clean up after the event.
We concluded our gathering with the joyful sounds of the traditional Christmas Kalanda, beautifully assisted by Father John.
We wish you all a blessed and merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year! We look forward to seeing you at our next event in early 2025!
"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those planted in the Lord's house shall flourish in our God's courts. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Psalm 92:12
MISSION
Our Young at Heart ministry is open to all and provides fellowship and friendship for our mature adults. Each person in the church is vital to its health and growth. The rich experience and seasoned gifts of older Christians are indispensable resources to our congregation. Our church has committed to encouraging the Young at Hearts and maintaining their involvement in the church's life. There's a place for you at Annunciation! Ministries need your skills, abilities, and maturity!
PARTICIPATION
The group plans a variety of social gatherings, including day excursions, holiday luncheons, and other fun and festive activities throughout the year. Please check our Weekly Bulletin and Community Calendar for upcoming activities. We post-mail the paper Sunday Bulletin to those without an email address so that all those interested can participate. We invite you to join us in fellowship and fun! Stay tuned for our exciting upcoming events.
